Food was 10/10 really enjoyed the wonton soup. It was one of the best I’ve had out in the suburbs. Dumplings were very fresh I 100% recommend getting the chili oil wantons. The service was quick, very friendly and open to explaining the menu to us. The milk Tea is so fire. Not too sweet not too Milky Atmosphere was very cozy and clean . Small business that deserves more hype

I like it a lot. I am a hard critic so maybe this deserves a 5 star. The only comment I have is the dumplings are pricey. 6 soup dumplings for $10 and the dumplings are not too big in my opinion. The sesame chicken is unbelievably good and a huge plate! My kid loved it! My wonton soup was great too! I’ll definitely come back often to try other items on the menu.

Solid visit to SAVORY BUN. The service was great from the start; the waitress was very nice with a friendly smile and seated me right away. Her timing was perfect—she came by exactly when I was ready to order and was right on time whenever I needed another beer. I started with the CHICKEN KARAAGE for the appetizer—it was delicious, full of flavor, and had a great crunch that paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. For the entrée, I had the SZECHUAN CHICKEN. It wasn't a creeping heat; instead, it hit with an immediate kick and that classic numbing peppercorn effect. It wasn't overly spicy, but had an excellent balance of spices and aromatics. The WHITE RICE was also cooked very well—not too dry and not too wet, just the right consistency. The meal was a perfect pairing with a cold SAPPORO. The beer was incredibly refreshing and washed everything down smooth, cutting right through the savory and spicy notes. Everything was spot on.

It was amazing! This is my go to Chinese place now. The atmosphere is so pretty!! I included pictures. The food looked just like the picture and everything was made fresh even the soup! You know it is quality ingredients. The food is so savory and have many flavors. The disheartening thing is that there were not as many people which is why you should come. 🤩

Savory Bun is such a gem. We loved everything we ordered : the coconut boba milk tea was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet, exactly how it should be. The tan tan noodles were rich, savory, and deeply satisfying, and the scallion pancakes were crispy on the outside and tender inside. The edamame came out warm and perfectly steamed, simple but done right. On top of the great food, the service was genuinely excellent and the ambiance felt cozy, calm, and welcoming ; this is a place you actually want to linger. We’ll definitely be back.
